Lessons from elite sports by Michael Boogerd and Sarina Wiegman
On Thursday, January 23, 2025, The Hague University of Applied Sciences is hosting a unique event at Sportcampus Zuiderpark, focused on leadership and personal development. The event offers a platform where students, professionals, and other interested individuals can come together to gain insights from renowned speakers in the world of sports and leadership. The program is carefully designed not only to inspire but also to provide practical insights that can be applied directly in both professional and personal contexts.
During this afternoon, the theme of leadership will be highlighted from different perspectives by influential speakers. Michael Boogerd, former top cyclist, will share his insights on leadership and resilience, drawing inspiration from his remarkable career in elite sports. Following his talk, Sarina Wiegman, head coach of the England women’s football team and two-time FIFA World Coach of the Year, will take the stage for an interactive College Tour. She will discuss her vision on team development, achieving top performances, and motivating others to bring out the best in themselves.
