Are you ready to be inspired? On Tuesday, February 13, at 14:00 we are thrilled to welcome Melati Wijsen (2000) to The Hague University of Applied Sciences! Known for her tireless fight against plastic pollution she is the co-founder of Bye Bye Plastic Bags. At just 12 years old, she and her sister launched this initiative to make Bali a plastic-free island. Since then, she has shared her success story as a changemaker, her choices, and her vision for a better world at platforms like the United Nations, TED, and more. She was even named one of Time Magazine’s 25 Most Influential Teens.

Melati will share her story, her choices, and her vision for a better world. She will present her new book Change Starts Now, a powerful manifesto on how we can all make a difference. Melati will also talk about her documentary Bigger Than Us, where she follows young changemakers around the globe, and her latest initiative, Youthtopia, a platform empowering the next generation of leaders. Don’t miss this opportunity to meet her in person and hear how change truly begins!

This event is organized by the Green Office in collaboration with The Lighthouse. Registration is not needed.
