Crash Course Dutch Politics

Beyond Mark Rutte's exit as prime minister, several politicians from different parties won't return to government or parliament. Join a lunch session with European Studies lecturer Dave van Ginhoven, a Dutch-Canadian, to grasp this transformation. Learn about Dutch parties spanning left to right, the tendency for three to four-party coalitions in governance, and the unique 'polderen' concept in Dutch politics.

Successfully and happily studying requires a healthy lifestyle. This isn't always easy, as temptations abound. So, what motivates you to actually go to the gym, what helps you eat healthier, and how can you quit smoking or drinking excessively? Lecturer Sander Palm will conduct an inspiring and interactive workshop on 'Golden Behaviors.' During the workshop, you will learn to employ nudges to positively influence behavior, both in yourself and in others!

Oscar Prinsen is open to having a good conversation with anyone who's interested. Feel free to drop by for a chat! You'll spot him easily in his white suit, sitting on a high chair in the central hall. If the chair next to him is empty, don't hesitate to take a seat! Oscar is an artist with a strong commitment to social issues and a philosophical perspective. He operates from Het Instituut voor de Loslopende Mens.
Exhibition Photos of Freedom

In May, we collaborated with photographer Jeroen Swolfs to host a smartphone photography contest. Participants received both theoretical and practical lessons in smartphone photography and were tasked with capturing the theme of freedom. Come visit the exhibition to admire the works of the four award-winning photographers!
