From 18 October to 13 December  2024, the Queer Film Festival and The Lighthouse will provide students and staff members with the opportunity to enjoy two queer- and gender-centered films and engage in discussions around queer representation in media.

Three European Studies lecturers, teaching the elective Gender and Sexuality in Europe, have each chosen a film with which they connected (or disconnected) and invite others to engage with them through viewings and discussions.

This marks the second Queer Film Festival, and we extend a warm welcome to all students and staff of THUAS to join us as we tackle gender and cultural barriers in women's football, dive into the experiences of trans people, and find unlikely alliances between the LGBTQ+ community and Welsh miners.
