Rajash Rawal is stepping down from the Executive Board of The Hague University of Applied Sciences on 1 September. His current term expires on that date. On the Executive Board he is responsible for the education and internationalisation portfolio, quality assurance and student affairs.
Spreading his wings
Rajash Rawal: ‘For over twenty-five years I have been working in various positions at The Hague University of Applied Sciences. I look back on that with great fondness and much pleasure. I am also satisfied with what has been achieved during my term on the Executive Board. For example, the implementation of the educational vision, which is now alive and kicking and fully embedded. The upcoming end of my board term was a reason for me to reflect on my future. This ultimately led to my decision to spread my wings further. I would like to thank all students and staff members of The Hague University of Applied Sciences for their pleasant collaboration during the past years.’
Many achievements
Marjet van Zuijlen, chair of the Board of Trustees: ‘Rajash Rawal has dedicated his heart and soul to The Hague University of Applied Sciences for over quarter of a century. As a lecturer, faculty director and Dean, and finally as a member of the Executive Board, Rajash has made an important contribution to the organisation at various levels. Students and staff members alike praise his commitment. Rajash boasts many achievements. For example, he was an important driving force behind achieving the institutional audit on quality. Rajash has done a lot for The Hague University of Applied Sciences in forging community alliances. With Rajash we lose an administrator who has a passion for people. On behalf of the Board of Trustees we wish him much success in his future career. We are convinced that he will continue to make an important contribution to society in the future.’
Open mind
Elisabeth Minnemann, chair of the Executive Board. ‘With the departure of Rajash, The Hague University of Applied Sciences is losing a committed, passionate administrator with an open mind. True to his motto Never let your yesterday define your tomorrow, Rajash has chosen a new chapter in his career. I wish him every success and thank him for his commitment and contributions during the many years he spent at The Hague University of Applied Sciences.’
