Team Circular Business

Kim has been a professor at The Hague University of Applied Sciences since 1 January 2019. She is also affiliated with Wageningen University & Research where she founded the Circular Fashion Lab. Through bringing together scientists and designers, the Circular Fashion Lab contributes to the creation of new ‘categories’ of materials previously unknown in the fashion industry, disruptive technologies that re-define textile supply-chains and inspired processes of organizing that turn competitors into comparables.

Laura works on combining education with research to internalize the learning and application of strategies in nature to design solutions for the built environment. With a PhD in Biomimicry Design Education and a Master of Science in both architecture and biomimicry, she has established herself as a leading expert in her field, making significant contributions to the advancement of how to approach this field by novice designers.

She is affiliated with two Research groups: Circular Business and Future Urban Systems.
