What is the difference between a trial study day and a shadow a student day?
A trial study day is all about giving you an idea of what the degree programme is like. You'll be grouped with other prospective students and get an idea of what to expect in the first year of study in an accessible way. Trial study days are held at set times throughout the year.
During a shadow a student day, you tag along with a student from the degree programme over the course of a regular school day. This way, you experience what the degree programme is really like and spend the day with students who are already attending the programme. You can ask them about their experiences directly and get a feeling for the atmosphere. A shadow a student day can be any weekday of the academic year, depending on what day works best for you and the student.

Questions and answers
What is a trial study day?
The trial study day programme is tailor-made for you. This means you will not be attending standard classes, but classes that the lecturers have set up to give you an idea of the degree programme. They introduce you to different types of classes, e.g. a lecture. The days are held at the campus where you can attend the degree programmes, sometimes also online. Like the shadow a student day, the trial study day is also free to attend.
What is a good time to sign up for a trial study day?
You have carefully read through the degree programme texts on our website, perhaps attended an Open Day and are now asking yourself what you can really expect from the programme. What do classes look like? What kind of classrooms will I end up in? Then it is the perfect time for you to sign up for a trial study day or a shadow a student day. Even if you are not sure which programme to choose, attending a trial study day and/or a shadow a student day can help you make up your mind.
Most prospective students who are still attending secondary education and signing up are in year 4 or 5 of senior general secondary education, year 5 or 6 of pre-university education, or in the final year of their senior secondary vocational education.
